Thanks to a friend’s recommendation, I have a new favorite shopping spot in Atlanta. Labels Resale Boutique is a designer consignment boutique located in Buckhead. Voted Best Consignment in Atlanta last year by Jezebel Magazine, Labels has women’s and men’s fashions from a variety of the best designers. I’ve bought and sold at several consignment stores in Atlanta, and this is by far my favorite for both. The clothes are basically new, the prices can’t be beat and the service is stellar.

Summer Beer Fest

The 2012 Atlanta Summer Beer Festival is happening this weekend. Join me and thousands of other Atlantans at the Masquerade Music Park on Saturday. I mentioned before how much Atlantans love festivals, and with over 150 different beers on the list, this might be the best one yet!

Weekend Warriors

This year has been extremely busy. Bobby and I have had something planned nearly every weekend so far, and this past one was no different.

On Saturday, we joined the rest of Atlanta at the Red Bull Soap Box Derby in Midtown. The event was crowded, hot and tons of fun! I had a hard time getting close enough to take action photos, but was able to snap these from Pit Row…

The overall winner – SweetWater Brewery

On Sunday, we headed to The Tabernacle for the Childish Gambino concert. Childish Gambino is Donald Glover’s  rapper alter ego. Donald, from nearby Stone Mountain, is more popularly known as Troy on the hit comedy Community. He is an amazing comedian and is just as great of a rapper. I am most impressed by the thoughful use of wordplay in his songs. If you haven’t already, check out Community on NBC and listen for Childish Gambino to hit the radio. It’s only a matter of time before this guy makes it big!

VaHi Summerfest

Atlantans love festivals. During the spring and summer months, nearly every weekend on my calendar is marked by a different one. Last weekend, Bobby and I walked to the VaHi area for the annual Summerfest. We enjoyed sipping on Shock Top beer, pointing out cool art to each other and even tasted some new King of Pops flavors.
