Today marks the official start of Summer! For me, Summer means enjoying longer days, spending weekends by the pool and sipping fresh sangria. In Atlanta, it also means hot temperatures and high humidity. The temperatures here have been in the 80s and 90s since March! A few tweaks to my beauty routine though, and I’m ready to go:

Last week I gathered a few friends to check out the Shecky’s Girls Night Out. The event featured fashion and beauty products of all types. While we were disappointed by the contents of our “goody bags”, we had a great time sipping cocktails and wandering through the many booths.

Tuesday marked the beginning of Spring, but I think Mother Nature skipped right into Summer. This week Atlanta enjoyed a record number of consecutive days above 80 degrees. To beat the heat, here are a few things on my Spring (and Summer!) beauty list:

I haven’t tried the new Philosophy “here comes the sun” line yet, but it gets great reviews. I’m picking up the SPF and self-tanner this weekend!

I received this Jouer Luminizing Tinted Moisturizer in a Birchbox, and absolutely LOVE it!

Neon is everywhere! This NEON nail polish by American Apparel will add a quick pop of color to fingers and toes.

For my birthday, a wonderful friend gave me a gift certificate to the new drybar in Buckhead. What’s drybar you ask? Well, drybar is a blow dry only salon (their tagline is: No cuts. No color. Just blowouts). I walked into a fun, girly atmosphere with pops of yellow everywhere. I was, to say the least, immediately obsessed. An hour later, I left with a red carpet-ready ‘do and my next appointment card in hand. I highly recommend this place!
