Sunday Brunch

Last weekend we hosted some out-of-town friends. After a fun (but busy!) weekend showing them the Atlanta sites, it was only fitting to end their stay with an Atlanta tradition – Sunday brunch. Highland Bakery is a well-loved brunch spot, and the food is definitely worth the wait. We enjoyed the beautiful spring weather, the relaxing restaurant atmosphere, and tasting off of each other’s plates. I only wish the Midtown location was open on Sundays so that I could indulge more often.

Spring Beauty
Tuesday marked the beginning of Spring, but I think Mother Nature skipped right into Summer. This week Atlanta enjoyed a record number of consecutive days above 80 degrees. To beat the heat, here are a few things on my Spring (and Summer!) beauty list:
I haven’t tried the new Philosophy “here comes the sun” line yet, but it gets great reviews. I’m picking up the SPF and self-tanner this weekend!
I received this Jouer Luminizing Tinted Moisturizer in a Birchbox, and absolutely LOVE it!
Neon is everywhere! This NEON nail polish by American Apparel will add a quick pop of color to fingers and toes.

Going Green
Dress (old); Jeffrey Campbell shoes
Bobby and I celebrated St. Patrick’s Day at Ri Ra in Midtown. They had a great event set up with a live band, clogging, Irish snacks, and of course, Guinness!
This dress was the only green thing I could find in my closet. Luckily, Spring is the perfect time to add more green to my wardrobe!
- Ri Ra Midtown
- Guinness!
- a leprechaun band

Suit Up
Atlanta’s warm weather has me dreaming of a new weekend uniform – swimsuits and sandals! While it’s not quite time to hit the pool deck, I’m definitely getting ready. This year I’m digging the monokini trend instead of a classic bikini or one piece. Choosing just one is going to be a challenge…

Bedazzled
I picked up this coral blazer from a thrift store a few weeks ago. I loved the style and color, but thought it could use a little more pizazz. After seeing this and this, I knew some metallic studs would be the perfect complement to this girly, Chanel-inspired piece.
